HYDROCARBON DISTRIBUTION PATTERN AND CONTROLLING FACTORS IN THE PERMIAN OF KE-BAI AREA

More Information

  • The Ke-Bai area is located in the western uplift of the Ke-Bai fault belt of the Junggar Basin. Logging and oil production data of the Permian oil-gas reservoir are summarized in this paper. Combined with structural and sedimentary characteristics, the distribution pattern and controlling factors of the Permian oil-gas accumulations were discussed. The Permian oil and gas mainly occur in the Jiamuhe Formation and upper Wuerhe Formation, and are mainly distributed along the pinch out lines and faults of the oil-bearing Formations in a plane view, and gradually decrease towards the center of the depression. There are many types of reservoirs, such as stratigraphic, fault, lithologic and complex ones. The distribution of the Permian oil-gas depends mainly upon unconformities, faults and lithofacies distribution patterns. The controlling factors are assembled in different patterns and each of the factors plays different roles. In this regard, the oil-gas distribution varies in different Formation.
