PRELIMINARY RESEARCH OF SUBMARINE FRESHWATER RESOURCES OFF NORTHERN ZHOUSHAN ISLANDS

Submarine freshwater, as a kind of potential water resources, are mainly preserved in the relatively closed ancient sandy channel fillings. Therefore,paleochannel is regarded as the main target for submarine freshwater exploration. In this paper,we provided an overview of the distribution pattern of paleochannels and the conditions for submarine freshwater accumulation in the offshore area to the north of the Zhoushan Islands. Technical problems and future exploration strategies were also discussed.
