THE APPLICATION OF THE SHALLOW PROFILING TO OFFSHORE WELL-SITE SURVEY AND DATA INTERPRETATION

    • Shallow profile survey is widely applied in various marine engineering projects to find out the shallow sedimentary architectures, depositional environment and geohazard factors. Marine well-site survey is a kind of important work in marine oil and gas exploration and development. The findings of the survey are of significance to the safety of marine platforms in piling and/or drilling. Therefore, it is necessary to fully understand the principles of shallow profiling technology, factors controlling the quality of data, interpretation process, and how to combine it with drilling data to meet the requirements of the site survey.
