SATURATION EVALUATION OF GAS HYDRATE IN PERMAFROST SEDIMENTS

Accurate calculation of gas hydrate saturation in permafrost sediments is critical to gas hydrate resource assessment. Methods of evaluating gas hydrate saturation mentioned in literatures were summarized in this paper, such as the methods of direct measurement, pore water geochemistry evaluation and well-log evaluation. Each method, in fact, is not accurate enough, so it is recommended that no less than two methods be selected for mutual authentication so as to improve precision.
