Abstract
Recently, some large bubble-like miarolitic caves in an A-type granite of the Laoshan Mountain have been discovered. The largest cave is up to 3.1 m in diameter, far exceeding the granitic miarolitic caves previously reported. The discovery is helpful to the study of the original environment of the Laoshan granite and to the genetic interpretation of the micro-landform of "natural-mortar" there. The existence of a new genetic type-"bubble-like miarolitic caves" in speleology is also confirmed by this discovery. Such large bubble-like miarolitic caves are rarely observed in geological records. It has ornamental, scientific and tourism value.
