A PROPOSAL FOR USING ACOUSTIC DEEP-TOW SYSTEM FOR GAS HYDRATE EXPLORATION

The rapid development of marine gas hydrate exploration requires the application and development of detecting techniques near the bottom. The acoustic deep-tow technology is certainly a kind of choice. This paper briefed various acoustic deep-tow systems with weak positive buoyancy and gravity, which was currently applied to deep sea survey. We made a proposal to develop a self-innovated system based on gravity for natural gas hydrate exploration and discussed some key techniques related to the work.
