APPLICATION OF TRIDIMENSIONAL DELAYED EXCITATION AIR-GUN ARRAY IN THE SOUTH YELLOW SEA BASIN

The occurrence of carbonate strata in the South Yellow Sea Basin may block seismic waves to penetrate into the deeper part. Based on numerical modeling, we develop a three-dimensional seismic source by experiment of different combination of 4 groups of air gun arrays. The 4 sub-arrays three-dimensional seismic source has already been tested in the field. The result was rather encouraging. By using this new seismic source, it may improve imaging effect of the Mesozoic in this region;
