    APPLICATION OF UPWARD CONTINUATION OF GRAVITY AND FREQUENCY SPECTRUM ANALYSIS IN MATLAB

    • Upward continuation is an important method in gravity data processing.The gravity data from the Tibetan Plateau and it's adjacent areas were processed using this method.The numerical method of upward continuation in space domain was programmed by the Matlab,a language of technical computer.The Bouguer data was processed with upward continuation at the levels of 1、10 and 15km,and the translated data gained were presented in contours using the Surfer software.Then,write a program to translate the data of different levels into a chart of power spectrum using Matlab.Through comparison of the calculated results with the original gravity field,the regional anomalies could be separated from the locals,and the geological structure in depth become clearer.Upward continuation can be easily and quickly obtained by Matlab.
