Abstract
Ocean bottom cable multiple attenuation is one of the hot topics in geophysics abroad. However, it has been ignored so far in domestic researchers due to lack of related theories and studies. This paper presents an up/down wave field de-convolution method and the corresponding technical process. This method does not need any source information and removing the direct waves and ghost waves previously, but can attenuate the surface-related multiples successfully by means of theoretical modeling and real data.
