PROCESSING TECHNIQUES AND METHODS FOR REGIONAL BATHYMETRIC AND TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING

The 1:3 000 000 China Seas-West Pacific bathymetry and topography map (north sheet), as a regional small-scale map in a huge area, requires extensive data collection of water depth, topography, and others in the region. Relevant data from different sources and channels need to be catalogued, compared, tested and standardized to ensure their reliability and accuracy. The map shall be compiled following the requirement of mapping guide and standard setting up by concerned authorities.
