Abstract

A new pore-water sampler for marine sediments was developed. A maximum of 16 pore-water samples, 25~45 mL each from 180 g of marine sediments, could be sampled at the same time in about 45 min. The sampler has been successfully applied onboard of RV "Haiyang-4", and proved to be efficient. It is worthy to promote it for wide use in marine geology survey.
