INTEGRATED EVALUATION OF GAS HYDRATE AND GEOTHERMAL RESOURCES

Recent studies show that the accumulation and distribution of marine gas hydrates are controlled by temperature. Observation also suggests that some marine gas hydrate resources occur together with geothermal resources. There is possibility to use geothermal resource energy as an energy source for exploitation of natural gas hydrate and therefore the two kinds of energy resources could be exploited at the same time. In this paper, we introduced an empirical formula and a method for integrated resource evaluation of gas hydrate and geothermal resources. Cases are presented to verify the feasibility of the initiative.
