    APPLICATION OF BIONIC TECHNOLOGY IN MAINTENANCE OF HANGING OIL PIPELINE IN PINGHU OILFIELD

      Abstract
    • Bionic scour-prevention technology introduced in this paper is based on the principle of bionics. It solves subsea scour problems by dredging. This technology is applied in the sub-sea oil pipeline maintenance, which is near Dai-shan offshore close to the Ping-hu Oil and Gas Field. The effectiveness of the method is tested by single-beam echo sounding, sub-bottom profiler, side scan sonar and human detection. The result is obviously better than other measures.
