ERROR SOURCES ANALYSIS FOR MULTI-BEAM ECHO SOUNDING

Complete coverage of high resolution multi-beam sounding is crucial for resources investigation and regional geological survey offshore. Based on the long-term experience in use of multi-beam system, we analysed the error sources of multi-beam bathymetric system coming from motion sensors, heading sensors, positioning systems, and sound velocity sensor, and discussed the way to reduce the error sources.
