Abstract
Sub-bottom profiling (SBP) is one of the indispensible methods for marine geophysical survey to reveal the shallow sediment structure, shallow gas, paleo-channel and other kinds of potential geohazards. However, the quality of raw data and the subsequent interpretation can be affected by various ambient noises. Based on previous researches on this subject, this paper demonstrates some methods to process the sub-bottom profiling data collected by PARASOUND 70 SBP system. The process will provide better foundational data for marine geological researches and enbance the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution.
