SUITABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR SHALLOW GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IN EASTERN SHANDONG AREA BASED ON ANALYSIS HIERARCHY PROCESS

    • The Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a multi-objective analysis method for decision-making process based on both qualitative and quantitative data, which has been widely used in many fields. In this paper, we build a suitability assessment system for groundwater and buried pipeline heat pumps to assess the suitability for use of shallow geothermal energy in eastern Shandong area using the AHP. According to the hydro geological conditions, the groundwater heat pump area is divided into suitable, general suitable and unsuitable subareas. According to geological conditions and the investment costs, the buried pipeline heat pump economic area is divided into economic, less economic and general economic subareas. Groundwater heat pump was selected as the priority for the area where is suitable for ground water heat pump. The result of suitability division is proved reasonable and reliable. The assessment will provide a scientific basis and supporting system for the development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy in eastern Shandong area.
