Abstract
Multi-components seismic survey receives P-wave and P-SV converted wave data simultaneously, and the seismic information received are doubled. P-wave and P-SV converted wave have different sensitivity to lithology and fluid that causes seismic attribute anomalies. Therefore, by studying the joint attributes of P-wave and P-SV wave, ambiguity in simple P-wave interpretation will be reduced, and more reliable litholgy and fluid information obtained. Using Multi-components forward modeling of seismic data, the paper discussed the feasibility and reliability of hydrocarbon identification by multi-components seismic joint attributes in terrestrial interbedded thin reservoir in the Ken 71 area of the Shengli oilfield. The results are proved useful for oil and gas prediction.
