Abstract
The construction of artificial island is an effective factor in modification of the dynamic boundary conditions of an engineering area. Upon the comparison of the satellite remote sensing data and the topographic survey data, we discussed the submarine topography change of the study area in combination of the data of wave, tide, suspended sediments of the region. Depositional and erosional pattern was discussed quantitatively. Submerged breakwaters were suggested for protection of the artificial island. The countermeasure could be adopted for other areas with similar boundary conditions.
