    RESEARCH ON GEOMAGNETIC DIURNAL VARIATION OBSERVATION SYSTEM BASED ON SURFACE MOBILE PLATFORM AND ITS APPLICATION TO DEEP SEA SURVEY

    • A geomagnetic diurnal variation observation system for deep sea survey based on intelligent mobile platform was introduced in this paper. The system is carried by an intelligent mobile platform on the sea surface, which may automatically navigate to specific regions for continuous in-situ observation. The designed endurance of the system is 40 days, with an observable depth of 30 m, and the range of ground position on the sea surface maintained by the autonomous power is no more than 1 000 m. The experiments show that the actual function and performance of the system are consistent with the design scheme, which proves the effectiveness and advancement of the design and observation method.
