PREDICTION AND APPLICATION OF ASSOCIATED INTRUSIVE ROCKS IN PRE-SALT CARBONATE RESERVOIR OF SANTOS BASIN

    • ntrusive magmatic rocks occur widely in the pre-salt carbonate reservoir of the Santos Basin, Brazil. It is difficult to predict intrusive bodies with the seismic images relatively poor in quality. In this paper, the genesis of the pre-salt intrusive rocks in Santos Basin are studied, and the reflection characteristics of the intrusive rocks analyzed with wave equation for forward modeling. According to the reflection characteristics of intrusive rocks, the spatial distribution of intrusive rocks is predicted with sensitive attributes, and the thickness of intrusive rocks predicted based on tuned thickness by the thin-layer model. Through the application of proposed prediction technology in contract block, the developed area and thickness of intrusive rock are precisely predicted. Finally, the volume of intrusive rocks is quantitatively calculated by probability method.
