Abstract
The middle part of the 3rd Member of the Shahejie Formation in the JZ Oilfield is a nearshore subaqueous fan which contains several stages of sandbodies. The sandbodies are superimposed with multiple sets of fluid system and the reservoirs are complicated in communication. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometer is used in this approach to analyze the biomarkers of the crude oil from development wells to obtain the crude oil fingerprint- chromatogram, and then a fingerprinting star diagram is made. By comparing the similarities and differences of fingerprint chromatography from the samples of crude oil, the reservoir connectivity can be confirmed. It has been verified effective for monitoring the development dynamic of the oilfield.
