STUDY ON DISTRIBUTION OF IGNEOUS ROCKS IN THE EAST CHINA SEA BASIN BASED ON GRAVITY ANOMALY EXTRACTION

    • Magmatism is a product of tectonic movement in the process of the formation and development of the East China Sea Basin.Igneous rocks which are generally of obvious density differences with the surrounding rock, are the factor causing local gravity anomaly. However, the anomalies caused by igneous rocks are often overshadowed by regional anomaly. It is difficult to define them in the gravity anomaly map.In this paper, we used the improved cellular neural network method to extract the gravity anomaly caused by the igneous rocks in the East China Sea Basin. The method has the advantage to highlight the target anomaly and distinguish them from horizontal (landscape) superimposed anomalies. Studies show that igneous rocks developed wildly in the East China Sea Basin in NNE direction.
