PREDICTION TECHNIQUE FOR INTERBEDDED THIN RESERVOIR OF BEACH-BAR FACIES ON SOUTHERN SLOPE OF JIANGLING

    • The lower Xingouzui Formation of the southern Jiangling Depression is characterized by interbedded thin reservoirs, that make the lithological traps quite difficult to be identified. Taking the 3D surveyed area in the Jinjiachang of the southern Jiangling Depression as an example, we worked out a set of prediction techniques for thin-interbedded sandstone reservoirs, which include both seismic and geological composite phase control and geostatistical inversion on the basis of paleogeomorphy and reservoir formation mechanism under the guidance of seismic and geological composite microfacies. The sandstone distribution pattern is revealed on the south slope of the Jiangling Depression.
