SEISMIC GEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF THE MARINE MESO-PALEOZOIC IN THE SOUTH YELLOW SEA BASIN

    • In the past years, with the rapid progress of seismic technique and continuous oil-gas exploration in the South Yellow Sea Basin, the quality of seismic reflection data for the marine Meso-Paleozoic has been much improved, except for the marine Lower Paleozoic, which remains under low signal-noise ratio, weak reflection energy and poor impedance continuity. In this paper, after analysis of stratigrafic framework, structural complexity, energy shield effect of strong reflection interface, multiple reflection and internal physical property of carbonate rock, we make a detailed summarization of the seismic geological conditions of the South Yellow Sea Basin. Upon the basis, some suggestions on seismic investigation technique are given to enhance the seismic quality of marine Lower Paleozoic, that includes research and development of the multi-channel seismic source system with strong energy and low frequency;develop the multi-channel seismic receiver system aiming at different tectonic units;acquirement of depth parameters about the source-receiver system; development of targeted seismic processing technology and application of new acquisition technique in the area.
