APPLICATION OF CURVE RECONSTRUCTION INVERSION TO LATERAL PREDICTION OF UNCONVENTIONAL RESERVOIR

    • Wave impedance inversion is an important mean for reservoir prediction. However, it is difficult to identify the reservoir using conventional wave impedance inversion if the wave impedance difference between the reservoir and non-reservoir (wall rock) is not obvious enough. The well logging curve reconstruction technique can effectively improve the qualities of lithology identification and reservoir prediction, and reduce multiple solutions. The Yanchang Formation of the Honghe Oilfield in the south of the Erdos Basin is adopted as a case in this paper. Favorable regions are predicted using the Gamma Logging curve reconstruction technique, the resolution of inversion is effectively improvesd, and the quality of interpretation and prediction is also improved to certain extent. Good results are achieved by using the wave impedance inversion to predict reservoir in the Well D area of the Honghe oilfield. The practice shows that the method is practical and effective even it is simple.
