INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT OF RESERVOIRS WITH COMPLEX LITHOLOGY IN XX29-2 OIL FIELD

Abstract
The XX29-2 oil field is an oil field with complex lithology of reservoirs. The reservoirs of the field are formed under the circumstance of short provenance and rapid sedimentation. They change rapidly in lateral direction and are multiply superimposed in vertical direction. Upon the data from core observation, thin section analysis, scanning, the reservoirs with more data are firstly identified in the field and then followed by the reservoirs which are deficient in data. The relationship of lithology and electricity is complicated in the XX29-2 oil field. The resistivity log is seriously affected by lithology. Therefore, it is relatively difficult to identify oil layer and reservoir by only logging. It is suggested that making a reservoir classification system firstly with mercury penetration, porosity and permeability data combining with lithology and sedimentary facies, then draw the boundary of layers with reference to lithology and logging data, and select limited beds for testing. Finally, combined with the nuclear magnetic resonance synthesize, reservoirs are identified. The case of the XX29-2 oil field may be used as a reference for reservoir identification in the Bohai Bay Basin.
