    THE APPLICATION OF ESR DATING TO MARINE CARBONATE

      Abstract
    • The questions encountered in ESR dating of classic marine carbonate such as coral and coral reef are discussed in this paper. The testing of irradiation proves that small dose is required in the case of low dose marine carbonate. When age dose of the sample was calculated, we need to select suitable k value or to do experiments for determination of irradiation efficiency. The average lifetime of sample and experiment of thermal activation are needed for older samples of marine carbonate.
