CLASSIFICATION AND COMPARISON OF GROUND WATER RESERVOIRS IN COASTAL AREAS OF NORTHERN CHINA

The coastal areas in northern China have good conditions for building ground water reservoirs. On the basis of summarization of management expertise and research results, this article deals with the classification of ground water reservoirs in coastal areas of North China, and makes a comprehensive comparison of the construction conditions of the different types of ground water reservoirs. By building ground water reservoirs under a scientific management system, water resources will be optimally used. It is possible to effectively improve water quality, to prevent seawater invasion, to further improve the eco-hydrological environment of the reservoir, and thus to realize the sustainable use of limited fresh water in coastal areas.
