Abstract:
Various facies marks, such as facies types, grain size distribution patterns, electrofacies, and regional geological settings, have been carefully studied for the Hongnan 9 Block of the Honglian Oilfield. The results show that this area was once occupied by a shallow braided deltaic system, consisting of distributary channels, channel bars, interchannel bars, subaqueous distributary channels,branched bars, sheet sands, and mouth bars. A sedimentary model was established for the Block upon the studies mentioned above. The model could be used as an important tool for reservoir exploration and development.
