Abstract:
At present, the work around natural gas hydrate is mainly focused on geological survey and exploration. Only has little attention been paid to database construction. However, the exploration of natural gas hydrate is a integrated technological endeavor containing geophysical, geochemical, sedimentological,geological, geothermal dynamics, environmental scientific studies. Due to the complex of the data and the strong interrelationship among them, how to manage the data has become a big challenge in front of us. To solve this problem, this paper proposed a new database construction scheme to manage the gas hydrate data obtained from the survey in the South China Sea. The use of the construction is proved successful for Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey.
