长江口外海域沉积物常量元素分布特征及控制因素

    DISTRIBUTION OF MAJOR ELEMENTS IN THE SEDIMENTS OF THE YANGTZE RIVER ESTUARY AND ADJACENT OFFSHORE AREAS AND ITS CONTROLLING FACTORS

    • 摘要: 通过对长江口外海域187个站位沉积物样品的常量元素含量分布分析,研究了长江口外海域沉积物常量元素组成的R-型聚类分析、R-型因子分析及主要控制因素。长江口外海域沉积物常量元素Al2O3、MgO、K2O和Fe2O3分布基本相似,而SiO2分布则与其相反;东南部CaO和CaCO3分布与生物作用有明显关系;TiO2分布反映了长江物质的运移方向。R-型因子分析揭示了控制长江口外海域元素来源和分布的主要因素。

       

      Abstract: Based on the major elements abundances of the sediment samples from 187 stations in the Yangtze River Estuary and its adjacent offshore areas,R-mode cluster analysis and R-mode factor analysis have been carried out for the major elements in the sediments. The main controlling factors were discussed. Al2O3,MgO,K2O and Fe2O3 have similar distribution patterns, whereas SiO2 is negatively correlated with these oxides. The distribution of CaO and CaCO3 in the southeast parts of the Yangtze River Estuary and its adjacent area shows a clear link with the source materials related to the biogenic process, whereas the distribution of TiO2 indicates the direction of sediment transportation. R-mode factor analysis could be used to reveal the main factors which control the element distributions in the surface sediments of the study area.
