Abstract:
The 2
nd and 3
rd members of the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene are the major oil and gas exploration targets in the Suizhong 30-3 structure. They were formed in a nearshore subenvironment filled by lacustrine fan facies. The nearshore sublacustrine fan sandstone has good reservoir properties for oil accumulation. Viewing the great difficulties in cross-well stratigraphic correlation and reservoir prediction for a complex fault system with rapid facies changes as such, we established an initial wave impedance model, and carried out constrained sparse pulse quasi-wave impedance inversion, based on fine calibration of well-seismic, wavelet extraction and structural interpretation using the commercial software Jason6.2. Based on the inversion quasi-wave impedance data volume, plane distribution maps for the three sets of sand bodies in the 2
nd member of the Shahejie Formation were extracted, one favorable target area in south-central of Suizhong 30-3 structure was predicted and well locations were recommend.
