四川盆地威远地区宝塔组海相碳酸盐岩沉积特征及模式

    Sedimentary characteristics and sedimentary model of marine carbonate rocks of the Ordovician Baota Formation in Weiyuan area, Sichuan Basin

    • 摘要: 奥陶系宝塔组是四川盆地碳酸盐岩油气勘探所关注的新兴热点层系,长期以来对威远地区宝塔组沉积环境研究存在不足,制约了该区宝塔组油气勘探开发进展及对四川盆地奥陶纪古地理格局的认识。本次通过野外露头、钻测井、地震及薄片等资料综合分析,明确了威远地区宝塔组展布特征及沉积相类型与分布规律,揭示了受川中古隆起控制下的“北西高、南东低”地貌格局对研究区宝塔组沉积演化的控制作用。研究结果表明,威远地区宝塔组与蜀南、川东北等地区沉积环境存在显著差异,研究区主要发育云坪、潮缘礁滩和局限台地3种沉积相类型。云坪相以粉-细晶白云岩为主;潮缘礁滩相以发育厚层灰岩为主,礁滩相东侧沿迎风面高地势区发育条带状弱云化带,见灰质云岩、云质灰岩、含云灰岩、灰岩;局限台地相岩性以泥晶灰岩与颗粒灰岩互层为典型特征,常见水平层理及生物扰动构造及典型的龟裂纹构造,指示水体循环受限。通过沉积相纵向演化与横向对比分析,明确了威远地区宝塔组沿NW—SE向由云坪、潮缘礁滩向局限台地过渡,云坪相白云岩及潮缘礁滩迎风侧云化带是有利储层发育区。本研究进一步深化了对四川盆地奥陶纪古地理格局的认识,为该区油气储层预测提供了新的理论依据。

       

      Abstract: The Upper Ordovician Baota Formation is a new and emerging hot spot for carbonate petroleum exploration in the Sichuan Basin, SW China. For a long time, there have been insufficient studies on the depositional environment of the Baota Formation in the Weiyuan area, which has restricted the progress of petroleum exploration and development in this area and the understanding of the Ordovician paleogeographic pattern in the Sichuan Basin. By integrating outcrop analysis, drilling, logging, seismic, and thin section data, we clarified the sedimentary facies types and distribution patterns of the Baota Formation in the Weiyuan area, and revealed that the paleo-topographic scheme of “high in the NW and low in the SE” was governed by the Central Sichuan Paleouplift in the sedimentary evolution of the Baota Formation. Results show that the sedimentary environment of the Baota Formation in the Weiyuan area is significantly different from those in the southern and eastern (northern) areas of Sichuan Province. Three main sedimentary facies types, i.e, dolomitic platform (dolomite flat), tidal flat-associated reef-shoal complex, and restricted platform, were recognized. The dolomitic platform facies is mainly fine to medium crystalline dolomite. The tidal flat-reef-shoal complex facies is thick-bedded limestone, in which a partial dolomitization belt was developed in windward high terrain area of reef-shoal body, with dolomitic limestone and (partially) dolomitized limestone developed. The restricted platform facies is mainly interbedded micritic and grainy limestone, with common horizontal bedding and bioturbation structures and typical desiccation cracks, indicating restricted water circulation. Through the analysis of the vertical evolution and lateral comparison of sedimentary facies, we believe that the sedimentary scheme of the Baota Formation in the Weiyuan area transitioned southeastward from dolomitic platform and tidal flat-reef-shoal complex to restricted platform. The dolomite of the dolomitic platform facies and the partial dolomitization zone on the windward side of the tidal flat-reef-shoal complex facies are favorable reservoirs (prospective reservoir intervals). This study deepened our understanding of the Ordovician paleogeography in the Sichuan Basin and provided a new theoretical basis for reservoir prediction in this area.
