Abstract:
The Weixi exploration area has experienced the stress transformation during the Eocene to Oligocene, thus featuring complex fault systems in the work area. Due to the influence of faults and strata fragmentation, many problems occurred in the seismic data, such as the blurry contact of seismic event, unclear fault, and so on. To further improve the accuracy of fault imaging, clarify the relationship among fault assemblages, and precisely implement structural traps, two sets of seismic data in two directions and different ages were used to realize the effective fusion of multi-directional seismic information, increase the seismic illumination from different directions, improve the extension of frequency band, and improve the accuracy of track coverage times and velocity. The effect of multiple suppression and steep dip imaging was improved. Through fusion process from different directions, the issue of accurate homing of small faults was solved, and the signal-to-noise ratio, resolution, bandwidth and amplitude preservation were enhanced. The fault section and the fault combination relationship became clear, and the fault imaging quality was largely improved. Via the fusion of data in different directions, a rich and solid database for the future exploration in the Weixi area was established.
