Abstract:
Based on the reservoir rock analysis data on heavy minerals, the provenance of the clastic canyon channel fillings of the Huangliu Formation in the Ledong-Lingshui Sag is analyzed. Polarizing microscope, cathodoluminescence microscope(CLM) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) are used as main tools. The results show that: ①the texture and composition maturities of the clastic deposits are gradually improved from west to east of the research area, and mechanical collision marks on the surface of quartz particles are common and abundant, indicating that the clastic particles come from a provenance far away in the west; ②the heavy mineral assemblages suggest that the provenance of the canyon channel filling deposits of the Huangliu Formation is mainly influenced by the Hainan Uplift and the Red River in the west.
