    ESR测年法在海洋碳酸盐岩测年中的应用

    THE APPLICATION OF ESR DATING TO MARINE CARBONATE

    • 摘要: 选用珊瑚与珊瑚礁等典型海洋碳酸盐岩,主要针对ESR测年中有关测试与年龄估算的偏离问题开展了系统研究。通过对珊瑚与珊瑚礁样品进行辐照剂量响应实验发现,海洋碳酸盐岩样品在低剂量辐照时要采用较小剂量辐照;在年剂量估算时应进行辐照效率实验或选择合适的k值;在测试较老海洋碳酸盐岩样品的ESR年龄时,应开展热活化实验,研究样品的平均寿命。

       

      Abstract: The questions encountered in ESR dating of classic marine carbonate such as coral and coral reef are discussed in this paper. The testing of irradiation proves that small dose is required in the case of low dose marine carbonate. When age dose of the sample was calculated, we need to select suitable k value or to do experiments for determination of irradiation efficiency. The average lifetime of sample and experiment of thermal activation are needed for older samples of marine carbonate.
