    COASTAL WETLAND PROTECTION IN CHINA: GEOLOGICAL ISSUES AND RESEARCH TASKS

    • 摘要: 滨海湿地是大陆边缘淡水输入与潮汐作用的产物,同时它可通过生物薄膜、沉积物的生物扰动、浪和流的振动、沉积物的有机物富集以及营养盐的循环终结对生物因素的控制作用进行反馈。在过去的十几年中,人们对滨海湿地功能的认识得到快速提高,并且对不同气候带的滨海湿地的地貌过程、水动力特征、生物反馈以及指示人类活动干扰的代理指标有了足够深入的洞察,但是仍然存在许多地质学方面的问题需要解决。针对我国对滨海湿地保护与管理的需求,在分析国内外研究动态的基础上,提出我国滨海湿地的地学问题与研究任务。

       

      Abstract: Coastal wetland is the joint product of tidal process and freshwater input at a continental margin. It is also under the control of various factors, such as biological process through biofilms, bioturbation of sediments, fluctuation of currents and waves, organic enrichment in sediments, and closing of nutrient cycles. The knowledge concerning coastal wetland ecosystems and their functions has grown rapidly over the past decade, and progress has been gained in the studies of geomorphic processes, hydrologic dynamics, biotic feedbacks, and disturbance agents in creating and molding a variety of ecosystems in coastal wetlands. However, there are still many geology-related issues needed be solved. Aiming at the needs in protection and management of coastal wetlands in China, the authors addressed the geological tasks in the coastal wetland research based on a review of the current status in this field.
