    FRACTURE FEATURES AND RESERVOIR HETEROGENEITY OF CARBONATE RESERVOIR IN EPC AREA, MEXICO

    • 摘要: 墨西哥EPC区块位于坦皮科(Tampico)盆地,白垩系的海相碳酸盐岩是其主要的含油气储层。储层是形成大型碳酸盐岩油气田的关键因素,为了解区内油田开发潜力,通过岩性、成像测井(FMI)等资料,结合前人研究成果,对EPC区块白垩系的主要储层进行了研究,总结了区域裂缝发育规律,对影响储层非均质性的因素进行了分析,认为本区裂缝以开启缝和封闭缝为主,岩性、成岩作用、流体性质和裂缝发育状况共同影响着储层物性的变化,进而影响储层在平面和纵向上的非均质特征。

       

      Abstract: The area of EPC is located in the Tampico basin of Mexico, with the Cretaceous as its main reservoirs. Lithological study and FMI data are adopted for understanding the regional pattern of fracture system in order to assess the future development potential of the area. Our results show that the region is dominated by open and close fractures. The physical properties of the reservoir depend upon lithology, diagenesis, fluid properties and fracture system. As the result, the reservoir is heterogeneous in both vertical and horizontal directions.
