    澳大利亚西北陆架天然气富集的主控因素

    MAIN FACTORS FOR GAS ACCUMULATION ON NORTH WEST SHELF OF AUSTRALIA

    • 摘要: 通过对已发现油气的分布特征,结合失利井原因分析,开展了澳大利亚西北陆架天然气富集主控因素研究,提出西北陆架天然气富集受到3种因素控制。生烃中心和天然气主要运移指向控制了大气田的平面分布;大型河流—三角洲沉积体系控制了天然气的富集;具有古构造背景,并且后期构造活动弱的区域是天然气富集区。根据这一研究,认为北卡那封Exmouth高地北部构造带是下一步重点关注区域。

       

      Abstract: Through the studies on the distribution pattern of oil and gas and the failed wells on the northwest shelf of Australia, we found that there were three major factors, which controlling gas accumulation, i.e. an effective hydrocarbon generation center, a deltaic system and weak tectonic activities. The gas generation center and the main migration direction control the horizontal distribution of large gas fields. The large scale deltaic systems provide gas reservoirs. The paleostructures with weak post-tectonic activity provides the favorable conditions for gas-accumulation. According to this study, we recommend the northern belt of the Exmouth Plateau in the North Carnarvon basin the next exploration target.
