    THE GEOPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SUBMARINE MUD VOLCANO

    • 摘要: 海底泥火山是地壳深部大套巨厚富含有机质及流体的欠压实泥页岩在区域动力学作用下挤入上覆地层,使得上覆岩层弯曲隆起或刺穿上覆地层而形成的一种地质构造,也是气体向上运移的通道,被认为是天然气水合物存在的重要证据。结合国内外海底泥火山研究实例,系统总结和分析了海底泥火山的地球物理特征,以期为海底泥火山的调查与识别奠定基础。

       

      Abstract: The submarine mud volcano is a kind of geological structure, formed by huge and thick undercompacted shale rich in organic and fluid matter squeezing into the overlying strata under the action of regional dynamics, leading to the bending, uplift or piercing of overlying strata.The submarine mud volcano is also the channel for gas migration and is regarded as an important evidence of hydrate presence. According to the domestic and foreign submarine mud volcano researches, the article summarizes and analyzes the geophysical characteristics of submarine mud volcano in order to lay a foundation for submarine mud volcano investigation and identification.
