Abstract: Ecological restoration is a natural approach to nourish beaches so as to prevent them from erosion for protecting people's life and properties based on the overall consideration of various factors, such as the natural features of the beach, the ecological system, the landscapes and the water dynamics as well as the cultural and socioeconomic requirements. In this paper, we summarized and discussed the beach nourishment project at the Jinmeng Bay Beach of Qinhuangdao upon designed elements and monitoring data.
